We’re Going on a Trip to the Singapore Zoo!

It’s not just entertainment or the sake of doing something on a family day. Going to the zoo is very substantial, especially for families that are fond of animals and the education of learning more about them.

Singapore Zoo happens to be one of the most visited places on the island, and it’s not a surprise why.

The Singapore Zoo was established in the year 1973, with a grant from the government, and has been a home to over 300 species of animals. More than a 10% of the animals living here are known to almost be near the brink of extinction.

Singapore Zoo Visitor Information:

The first thing we recommend you do when you get to the Singapore Zoo is to get yourself a map of the zoo! Why, you ask? You’re at the Singapore Zoo – must as well make the most of the visit!

As a good start to your excursion, our first suggestion would be to catch the animals’ eating time! If we listed everything they are famous for, we would not have enough time. So, start with the animals’ eating time. It would be a sight for sore eyes when you see their happiness while eating – I mean, we are happy when we are eating, too, right?

There are also some animals you can feed, so this should be your next plan after watching the animals eat.

What to Do at the Singapore Zoo

Of course, we are at the zoo. What else do we look forward to? Well, there are other attractions and activities to do at the Singapore Zoo.

Here are the top 4 things you shouldn’t miss on your visit;

  1. Secure souvenirs!
    Getting yourself a couple of souvenirs is pretty awesome. It is a nice way of remembering what you did at the Singapore Zoo. Memories are precious, especially when we don’t always have the time in the world. It is also a good reminder when the days get busier, you probably need a trip back to the zoo!
  2. Take the tram when your legs are getting tired. It happens because the Singapore Zoo happens to be a really large land mass, so it gets tiring. Hop on the tram and enjoy the zoo at the same time!
  3. Feeding the animals is awesome, now take a photo with them, too! It could also work as an amazing souvenir. Make sure you are aware that there are some animals that may be sensitive to flashes. Always ask the guide for assistance and heed the signs put up near the animals in the zoo.
  4. Don’t neglect the plants. They are alive, too! You can also learn a lot because the plants’ information are places near the plant for everyone to read.
